Shaun D. Ross is a nationally recognized media executive and entertainment strategist, currently serving as Partner and Chief Operating Officer of HHQ Urban Media. With his primary residence in Los Angeles, California, and strong professional ties to Cincinnati, Ohio, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Shaun represents the forward-thinking, multi-market leadership driving innovation across the evolving media and entertainment landscape.
As Founder and CEO of Suave Entertainment, Shaun has spent over two decades building a reputation for excellence in artist management, live event production, television and radio development, and venue operations. His company’s nationwide footprint and cross-platform capabilities have positioned him as a trusted partner in shaping talent pipelines and producing culturally relevant content.
Shaun’s professional background includes an influential tenure in A&R for No Limit Records, where he played a key role in artist development and catalog growth. He continues to consult and collaborate across the music industry, known for his keen eye for talent and strategic approach to brand-building.
In addition to his executive roles, Shaun has appeared on major television networks including BET and VH1, with features on programs such as Growing Up Hip Hop, Love & Hip Hop LA, Everybody Hates Chris, and others. He is also the co-host of “The Cook Up Radio Show”, a signature radio program on WHHQ-DB 91.3 The Plug Radio, which he does with Tony Star, the Founder and CEO of HHQ Urban Media. The show engages a national audience with meaningful dialogue across music, entertainment, and culture.
Shaun’s on-screen work also includes appearances in several major motion pictures, including “Life” (starring Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy), “I Got the Hook-Up”, and “Belly II”, among others. He is currently spearheading the development of multiple reality television pilots and original media projects aimed at expanding HHQ Urban Media’s content portfolio.
Academically, Shaun holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Communications from both Wilberforce University and Central State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. A proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Shaun served as Chapter President and Pan-Hellenic Council President during his collegiate years. He also served in the United States Army, where he rose to the rank of Platoon Leader and earned distinction for his leadership.
